Hey boo! 🧡 How are you? Did I tell you I moved? 🥹 It’s been quite tough navigating life and moving alone. Hence, the momentum of videos hasn’t been consistent but a girl is trying to get into the full swing of things and can’t wait for you to see all the juiciness that’s coming. Please bear with me.
In respect of what's been happening in Kenya though, this weekend’s video will be held off as it's a content that pertains to the country.
In the meantime, please let's educate ourselves on the #rejectfinancebill2024 protest and thank you Kenyans for what you're doing 🙏🏾
Happy New Year boo! 🥹 I have no words for this level of absense but today’s video is a sweet something and hope that allows you to forgive me. Are you ready? 😭
I remember when I started doing hair at the age of 6, my dad would discourage me. Y’all know how it goes down in African homes! If you aren’t about to be a Doctor, Lawyer or an Engineer, forget about it 😂. It got so bad that he would chase my High school friends who came to our house for me to help them with styling their hair.
Apparently, I was already a destined medical Doctor from my mother’s womb that I grew up knowing nothing else outside of that. He was so scared that his first child would drift away from pursuing Medicine to becoming a Hairstylist.
Here comes freedom in 2014 when I finally got into the University in Canada. While pursuing my Pre-med career, I was forced to re-spark those inner talents due to lack of funds. Finding someone to help with my Natural hair was a luxury I couldn’t even afford.
I still remember the first day I sat down and braided my hair for 2 whole days. The results were so beautiful that people actually started booking me to do theirs 🥺.
Here comes 2016 when I discovered I could share my journey with others who are struggling with styling their natural hair, like myself on @youtube .
I still can’t recover from this. I still get chills watching this video that we created: https://youtu.be/uIHmzOZdGKY . It still feels like a dream. The excitement brings me tears. I’m not great at being vulnerable but this one hit me hard. It’s crazy how far we’ve come y’all!
Often times, I forget that my videos are being watched but the truth is, when I go back to these videos and read your comments, it reminds me of the impact that we are making. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS POSSIBLE. I WOULD NOT BE HERE WITHOUT ANY OF YOU 😭
Y’all I represented US and that’s what makes me the happiest 🖤
Omg I’ve missed y’all so mucssshh 🥺 How are you?? No, but for real. How are YOU? comment below 👇🏾
First of, thank y’all so much that kept checking in on me and even just thought about me. There’s literally no day that has gone by without me thinking of y’all. Am so sorry I’ve been MIA for a while now. A girl has been all up and about with life. At some point, I fell ill then recovered; after which, I started battling with the anxiety of posting after a really long time. In fact, a lot has happened over the past few months that I can’t wait to carry y’all along on in the upcoming videos starting from today at 1pm EST time. Hope you are readyyyyy 🙈
This past week was a bit all over the place. Hence, I wasn’t able to meet up with editing and posting this Saturday, my apologies! 🥺 I promise two delicious juicy videos this week for y’all. Also, the takedown process of this hairstyle: https://youtu.be/j_atQl0e4LA was recorded yesterday as I saw your comments inquiring about it so that should be on your screen soon before you blink. Have a lovely rest of your week and ofcourse see you soon boo 😘
