Dr. Rocky Ruggiero has been a professor of art and architectural history since 1999. He received his BA from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Arts degree from Syracuse University. He furthered his art historical studies at the University of Exeter, UK, where he received a Ph.D. in Art History and Visual Culture.

He is the author of the book "Brunelleschi’s Basilica: The Building of Santo Spirito in Florence."

He has appeared on NBC News, History Channel’s “Engineering an Empire: Da Vinci’s World,” “Museum Secrets: the Uffizi Gallery,” and NatGeo/NOVA PBS' “Great Cathedral Mystery.” His documentaries “Florence: The Art of Magnificence,” and “Medici: The Art of Power” aired nationally on PBS.

Dr. Ruggiero offers online art history courses and educational webinars, as well as in-person lectures and cultural events.
