Wednesday I was called to meet Tony’s care team at rehab. We were told that there is nothing more they can do for him medically. He will be transitioning to hospice care next week. I ended up registering Alex for Kindergarten and Tony for hospice on the same day. Thank God my mom and dad came with me to the hospital that day, or I wouldn’t have made it through. The grief hits like a tidal wave. But I still have hope, somehow. I’ll say the same thing I said when Tony first got sick. Tony is the strongest person I know. If anyone can recover, my Tony can. He is fully aware and we agreed on this path together. He has even been helping me complete admin work on his phone, to lighten my load. He’s still taking care of us the only way he can. We are still praying for our miracle. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate more changes and new grief.

Severe thunderstorms and several tornadoes touched down in our area yesterday, way too close for comfort. We are safe! Power is still out, but our house looks okay, thankfully. Lots of flooding. I hope everyone in Slidell is staying safe! Tony is safe in the hospital 30 minutes away from us. 🌪️🙏🏻

We received news this morning that Tony is being referred to the Mayo Clinic due to the inability of local doctors at multiple hospitals to uncover a root cause/diagnosis. He has been suffering from pancytopenia, hypoglycemia, hypothermia, incontinence, and other neurological symptoms since last summer. All tests so far have come back normal. Please pray that we can get into an appointment quickly and that these doctors will be able to help Tony. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this uncertain time. Thank you all for your love and support! I miss you so much. ❤️
