Hello everyone. It has been a while since we have been on social media. First we want to say thank you for everyone who has taken the time to check up on us. It’s been a tough month and the short explanation is that Angie’s mom is in poor health and my father as well has been through a very hard surgery. We thank you guys for the prayers you all have sent our way and we apologize for not not having communicated sooner. While that is happening as the saying goes when it rains it pours and there are many other things we are dealing with at the same time. We are doing good though and the garden is what keeps us going strong. We will continue to share what is happening in the garden and hope to get back to regularly posting. 💚💚💚💚💚💚

So I wanted to update you on the weather station. As you can see it comes in handy with accurate weather right in our back yard. The first photo is the weather station, secondly is Alexa and third is the weather app on phone. A big difference between them all especially with record breaking heat here in San Antonio. Needless to say we have been spending time indoors. The highest we had was 109° so far. We will have a few videos out soon as temperature cools off a bit. It should be a good time to show how they are doing along with some fertilizing after a hot week. How’s the weather treating you?

Early morning watching the sun glow over the flowers as the pollinators dance. A simple planting of salvia,lantana,evolvulus,portulaca and other drought tolerant, heat and sun loving plants bringing life and color to our south Texas garden. One of our first areas planted and I’m so happy we did. I’m loving the color explosion! Oh ya! And the coleus is loving the all day blazing hot sun in this circle garden! Plants can truly surprise us. Have a lovely day! 💚💚💚💚💚💚 Don’t forget to Bloom where you are planted!

Hello garden friends! 😃💚 Headed out pretty early this Sunday morning. Kiddos helped me clear out this corner which became the toss it all spot when we first arrived to this new home. Small forgotten areas like this one are my favorite! They can become the most magical and special places in a garden. It’s also a great way to use every bit of space for gardening specially if you are working with a small backyard. There are two similar areas with crepe Myrtles that are blooming in beautiful pink lavender giving shade. Shade! 😄 I got some ideas! This and some other gardening fun happened today. Happy Friday! 💚 We had quite the morning! Some of the kitchen garden beds got cleared up to plant tomatoes. Happy to have a longer growing season in Texas. Gives us a chance to grow more of what we love and also try out other veggies. Kids also had fun harvesting 🌶️🫑🍉🍅. We got to tell yall August is not being shy 🥵. Moment of reflection 💚 as we say goodbye to July. A quick pause to take in the fruits of our labor. Reminding us why we garden. To bring Happiness! That’s why! The garden still has a way to go but as I watch how the whole family enjoys the garden I’m happy with the bit that has been done. Don’t rush the process but instead savor every moment.
