As usual with a new year, I made it a priority to find a new balance between practicing, performing, teaching and creating. No way to predict how the next 11,5 months are going to go/feel/lift up or obstruct, but this month some exciting projects are coming to life 🤩

Today's release has a bit of a background story! During my year at IU, Darmon Meader asked all vocal students to write a vocalese. I had never done that before, and so he suggested I should write the improvisation myself and then set words to it. So I picked a standard that my sister and her husband arranged, wrote the vocalese, and a little over a year later the whole thing was recorded for a friend who needed a jazz recording for his art installation.

I'm so excited to share the new vlog with you! Collecting the energy and the courage to fight for your dreams is NOT EASY, but it is soooooo worth it! Right now, on my personal journey, I'm once more right at the beginning of chasing a dream. Is it scary? Absolutely! Is it worth it? Even more so! Reaching the goal is obviously the most awesome outcome, but even if it doesn't work out, the lessons on the way will prove to be infinitely more valuable than staying in the safety of a comfort zone.
