A couple days ago, I got back from an awesome little winter camping trip with my 3-year-old son Hudson and our dog North, we had a couple hiccups, including heavy wind, lots of snow and even some freezing rain but we had a blast.

I couldn’t get the edit finished in time to drop the video last night so my latest vid will go live tonight (Friday) at 6pm ET. This one covers a trip to the Northern Yukon up the Dempster Highway to Tombstone Terratorial Park. In the vid you’ll see high mountain hikes, Arctic Grayling fishing, and a little ptarmigan hunting. The trip camps off with a visit to Dawson City, the heart of the Klondike Stampede!

New video up! In this one, we're doing things a little in reverse as this video covers several fall-related things that I did before my canvas tent deer hunt and closing up my cabin. It's a great video though and it will have you missing fall. After harvesting the squash and beans we grew, I pick up a new side-by-side and head off to explore trails and fish with my son. back and home I buck up, split, and haul firewood to heat my house and then head off (with a canoe on top of the side-by-side) to scout new hunting territory where I canoe, camp and fish on a large backcountry lake with a friend. Some successful partridge (Ruffed Grouse) hunting on the way home makes for a great wild feast I cook up of squash, beans, fish and BBQed jerked partridge! it's all a nice window into what life is like during the fall for my family in my nect of the woods.
