German-American cellist Peter Schmidt is invited to play as soloist and chamber musician throughout Europe, the United States, Colombia, Mexico and Algeria. He is a regular guest at international festivals such as Podium Festival Esslingen, Músics en Residència d'Alella, Festival Culturel International de Musique Symphonique, Alger and Paaxfest in Mexico. In 2013 he recorded a CD of works by Pau (Pablo) Casals for cello and piano together with pianist Katia Michel. Peter is artistic director of Pòdium Matadepera, a chamber music festival started in 2014.
