If you haven't been to Japan, looking through the hashtag's a great way to get ideas for your trip!

Here's how to join in:
🗾 Each day there’s a theme related to Japan.
📷 Post a photo related to that day’s theme.
#️⃣ Use the hashtag #Japanuary25D1 (change the number at the end each day – so the 1st is #Japanuary25D1, the 2nd is #Japanuary25D2, etc).
📱 Join in on any platform you like (Instagram, BlueSky, Threads, X, etc).

No new video this week as I'm busy packing up the Japan Trip Planning Decks. ✨ Thank you to everyone who backed my Kickstarter - they arrived last week on two huge pallets (swipe for a pic!). 😱

So now the place is FULL of boxes, and I have about 600 parcels to pack up, plus several hundred Japan calendar pre-orders. 😅 Wish me luck! Not complaining, as it's wonderful that so many people backed my Kickstarter. 🥰 I'm about halfway through so far, but it's just me packing them up, so it's a lot to get through. 💪

I'll be back with new videos soon - hopefully next week if I get them all done. 🤞

If anyone's going to EGX / MCM Comic Con London, I'll be there on Sunday with Phil and my friends at ‪@KaizenGameWorksOfficial‬. They're on the Creator Stage at 2:45pm talking about Paradise Killer and their new game Promise Mascot Agency, and doing a Q&A about indie game dev.

This week I've been finalising the artwork for the Japan Trip Planning Decks, checking all the details and making sure they're ready to print!

There are options to get my book and calendar together with the deck.

As it's going well, I've upgraded the shipping from the manufacturer to express delivery, so they'll be ready to send out sooner. If all goes to plan, I'll be sending them out in November, ahead of schedule (in plenty of time for Christmas!). 🎁

✨🐧 Suica Card News🐧✨
Suica cards will be available again from this autumn. Because of the chip shortage, availability's been hit & miss, but JR East have confirmed they'll be available everywhere again from this autumn.

Welcome Suica, the temporary version for tourists, will also be available in more places. Currently it's only at Haneda Airport, and availability's also been hit & miss.

🚃 What is Suica? 🚃

It's a card for paying for your trains in Japan, that you top up with credit then tap at the ticket gates. It's the option I'd recommend because it's valid for pretty much all local train lines and the metro, regardless of which company runs them, so it's the easiest and most convenient option.

At last - Japan guide books ETA is next week! 🙌🎉 If all goes to plan, they'll be here next week and I'll be sending out pre-orders straight away. Fingers crossed for no delays with the shipment...!

TeamLab Planets in Tokyo is expanding! And it looks huge: there'll be over 10 new installations, including:



⭐ Athletics Forest - Similar to the upper floor at the original TeamLab Borderless.
✏️ Future Park - No description yet, but this usually involves drawing/colouring.
🌲 Catching & Collecting Forest - A beautiful forest environment where you can interact with animals and catch/release them on your phone. There's a mini (and free!) version at the Galaxy Store in Harajuku, where you catch dinosaurs. There's also a much larger one at TeamLab Forest in Fukuoka. I'd definitely recommend it, as it's really fun and much quieter - we had this room all to ourselves earlier this year!


The expansion opens early 2025.

It's interesting they're expanding it so much, as Planets is temporary (currently until the end of 2027) - or maybe there'll be news on that too...! It seems like they're keeping Borderless as a 100% accessible venue, and moving everything with unusual flooring to Planets.
