Digital Underground Official

The year was 1987...Out of Oakland and deeply inspired by funk bands of the 1970s, Gregory "Shock G" Jacobs (a.k.a. Humpty Hump) set out to create an “all Atlantic, all Pacific, grand imperial hip-hip dynasty” .That dynasty would become known as digital underground.

Their personnel changed with each album and tour, featuring voices from across the globe, including Tupac Shakur, Raw Fusion, Saafir, David "DJ Fuze" Elliot, Jeremy "J-Beats" Jackson, singer Mystic & more. Shock G and Money-B were the only individuals to appear on every album.

In 1990 their first album "Sex Packets" dropped. Playful, ahead of their time and funky as hell, their music videos stayed on MTV’s Top 100 and the both the album "Sex Packets" and it’s single “The Humpty Dance” were certified platinum... the rest, as they say, is history!

Celebrating a musical legacy, this is digital underground official, created and managed by TNT Recordings.
