Happy birthday to me.
This birthday I decided to not go the traditional route of celebrating in a classic way by throwing a party. I realised that is not my cup of tea.
I decided to be selfish after all that’s my day, right?
So the plan was to do something that I love.
Naturally, I decided to cook in bulk then pack everything up and distribute it outdoors.
I invited and intimated my close ones and my friends that this time we are planning to make KHEER and CAKE.
Kheer ka I knew how to do and everything was taken care of.
But cake? I’m not well versed in that area.
Koi nahi kar lenge.
Cake practice started on Thursday and Saturday tak we had sponge and ganache ki recipe.
Then it started! Sunday morning after football and swimming.
And raat tak we were cooking continuously.
Many people joined us by evening.
And at 12 AM we had our cake ready for the birthday.
Around 4 AM we slept and 6:30 AM se again we started.
One after the other, kheer and cake sponge ke batches were being made.
Soon, others joined. After too much chaos, it was decided that MUDRIT will not take part in cake decoration because everything cannot be perfect and I was taking too long to finish cake frosting.
So I decided to try out a few buttercream and ganache recipes till then.
And there we have it a very happy birthday to me.
Cake cutting ke baad sab pack kiya and we went onto distribution.
I loved every second of it.
To each and every one who came all the way knowing that party nahi milegi instead kaam karna padega you mean alot to me.
This day is forever etched in my memory and nobody can take this day away from me.
This is that time when I felt why did my birthday end ye feel around 15 years baad hua hai.
Also, my parents I don’t know what great I did that I got these amazing people.
To Harsheen, bro hats off for doing so much despite being ill, no words.
To my brothers, love you bhaiyo
To my sister, your presence is all we need
To anyone standing in my studio on that day, nothing just respect and love for you.

The past few months have been nothing but tumultuous.

Getting this amongst all the things currently going on is a huge relief.

We will continue to bring out the best of food be it molecular gastronomy, modernist cuisine or vegetarian-ising non-vegetarian food. Also, I have a lot of things planned on the topic of DRINKS.

I just need my time. Give me a few years and we together will change the whole industry of food in India.

All said and done, let’s do this!

Loved the experiences and the people. This is real and we all are making an impact.
Never thought cooking in front of a camera can make you reach places like these.
