Impact 89FM is Michigan State University's student-run college radio station broadcasting from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. During the day, the Impact plays a great mix of alternative, indie, and rock music. In the evenings, we make way for a variety of talk shows and specialty music shows.

The staff consists of over 100 student volunteers representing a diverse set of backgrounds and majors on campus. The station broadcasts 24/7 from studios in Holden Hall. Impact broadcasts online at 88.9 FM in the greater East Lansing area.

88.9 The Impact is proud to have been named the College Radio Station of the Year 11 times from 1999-2011 by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and BMI.

The Impact has also been nominated several times from the likes of CMJ and mtvU. WDBM has also won several awards on the local level.
