Schwarzdorn Production was founded in 1994. In the early years, the label emerged with the focus of Black-, Death-, Doom-, Pagan- and Viking-Metal under other names.

In 2002, Schwarzdorn Production entered a contract with Twilight Distribution. In the year 2010, Schwarzdorn Production changed the distributor for Germany & Austria to Soulfood Music Distribution, with Non Stop Music providing distribution for Switzerland. For the rest of the world, Plastic Head Distribution UK are our partners.

At the end of 2019, the cooperation with Soulfood Music Distribution and Non Stop Music Distribution ended. With the turn of the new year, Schwarzdorn Production signed a contract to New Kontor Media GmbH (worldwide digital distribution) including the physical record carrier distribution from Edel Germany GmbH for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Schwarzdorn Production is a rather small but dedicated label, and as well as production, also has an online shop!
