I love it when all of my favorite hobbies come together in one project! 😃🩷💜💚 Look at this!!! So I found some fabric called "Calendar Girls" by Free Sprit fabrics last year. It has cute ladies doing fun things and wonderful flowers for each month. I pulled some coordinating patterns and solids from my stash. Then this year I found this great Lori Holt fabric from her Calico collection by Riley Blake Designs (purchased from Gardenia fabrics with my gift card). I think it will make a great backing for a quilt. I have been working on an idea. I think I can fussy cut each girl of the month, use that fussy cut as the center of a star black. Choose coordinating fabrics for the star legs and add a great border with the green fabric that has all the ladies holding their flowers for the month. What do you think? If you have any quilt design ideas for this fabric, please leave me a comment. I am just in the thinking stage so all ideas are appreciated. 😊

There is even a nod to my 35 year teaching career with all of the cursive writing of the months. I just love it and I am so excited to start designing. We are approaching the first day of spring here in the United States! That means that some of my favorite trees are startiing to bloom and the daffodils are showing their beautiful trumpets. This is a great time to think about what you need to do to prepare for the season ahead, whether it is spring or fall. It is a good time to also plan some fun and things to look forward to in the season ahead. Reconnect with some friends or family, get outside and enjoy the beauty of the Earth, make some plans for those holidays. I have a great guided brain dump video that will take you throuhg a bunch of things for you to think about. It is created in such a way that you can do the brain dump right along with me, pause it if you need more time, and give yourself a complete picture of everything coming up in the next 3 months. Crystal Clear Life

I can hardly believe that I started this YouTube Channel 3 years ago this month! I have created 182 videos and published a video every Friday for the past 3 years. Why have I never missed a week? Well, 2 reasons really.

First, I love what I do. As a retired teacher, I wanted to continue to teach in a nontraditional way. I wanted to start this channel to share my love of organizing and simplifying with others. I find OneNote is an incredible tool to do just that. I have used OneNote since 2012 or 2013. So, I started making videos about things that I enjoy. Mostly my videos focus on using OneNote as a life management planner. but occassionally I will film a cooking, sewing or gardening video just for fun. I like the variety.

Second, I have wonderful help from my husband who is my editor. My daughter helps with graphic design from time to time. She is also encouraging me to do more like have a Facebook and Instagram account. She would like me to set up a website and sell my planners. I am not sure I want to get that invlved, but we will see. What do you think. Would you be interested in purchasing my planners?

My final thoughts as we close out this birthday month for Crystal Clear Life, I want to say thank you. Thank you to all who have taken the time to click on the free subscribe button. Thank you to everyone who has clicked the like button on a video. But mostly thanks to those who have asked questions so they can learn more and those who have left comments sharing how they have used what they have learned in their loves. That really means a lot to me. To know that you are using this knowledge to make your own life a little more organized and hopefully a little easier is the best part. It really makes my day when I read about the changes you are seeing in your own planning and work. Thank you to everyone who watches, likes and shares.

I have no idea what the next year will bring, but I hope to continue making weekly videos and sharing them with everyone. My channel continues to grow and that makes me smile. Let me know if you have a video idea you would like to see.

Happy New Year!!!
Well, as promised, I have released twice as many videos in December as I do in a normal month. My hope is that I can help you get your planners set up and ready to go by the beginning week of 2024. The latest video takes you step by step through the process of setting up the weekly pages that I use. They are the work horses of my planner. I hope you are finding this series helpful.

I want to again say thank you and express my appreciatioin for all of your support. I hope that each and everyone of you can look back on 2023 and feel a sense of pride for all that you have accomplished. It does not matter if they are big or small, all wins count in how you are feeling about your progress. If you haven't already, make a list of the things you have accomplished and reflect on how far you have come. I hope that you feel motivated enough to try something new in 2024 and to have the confidence to tackle a project that needs working on. I know that is how I am feeling on this New Year's Eve.

I also want to remind you that writing down your goals and things that you would like to accomplish makes it more likely that those things will get done. I had a goal to reach 3,000 subscribers by the end of 2023. Even though I thought that it was too grand, I wrote it down and have been working hard to reach that goal by doing some work every day. I am proud to say that I have reached that goal thanks to all of you who have watched my videos and subscribed to my channel. I hope that more of you who watch will also consider subscribing. It is free and really helps YouTube know that there is valus in the content I am creating. I appreciate all who watch, like and comment as well.
