We’re a group of friends who have come together to chart a different life for ourselves by living and working communally in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. Our focus is to build a strong community, create a higher quality of life for ourselves and those around us, be stewards of our environment, and give ourselves the space to create what we love. We’re learning from the great community around us every day, documenting that priceless knowledge, applying what we learn as we grow, and sharing it with you. We trust the content of our videos will enrich your lives, as they have ours.

I shared this on one of the update videos on our sister channel over at 'Plant One On Me' @summerrayneoakes, but we'll be taking two groups of 20 people this November to the cloud forests of Costa Rica for a 7-day plant expedition. For those of you interested in experiential field trips like this in the future, I'd love for you to fill out this form: bit.ly/3HyUjnD so I can get a sense of your interests, where you'd like to travel to, best time to travel, etc. I may consider shorter trips (3-4 days) in the near future; or a trip that is further away; or even nearer to home, but I'd rather plan it around what others would like to participate in instead of making educated guesses. I want to share the sad news that Bob Beck, the gentleman that graciously shared his life's work with us protecting the bogs and fens where he lived, has passed away. Bob, as you can tell, was a natural educator and also very active and involved in the community—up until his death. He was a local hero to so many and our hearts go out to his family members and the community that knew him. In some ways, this video will be a sort of preservation of his spirit and legacy for others. And hope his fortitude will inspire others to stand up for the conservation of natural beauty in their communities.
