#GoFundMe My name is Dani Burke, and I lead a team in the Listening Lounge, an out-of-hours mental health crisis service in Rochdale. We work with service users who experience conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, emotionally unstable personality disorder (EUPD), psychosis, anxiety, and depression. We are seeing an increasing number of service users seeking support after suffering from horrific abuse from a family member a current or past partner and this will also include rape. Unfortunately, we do not provide this service at RDM so I want to create my service within my own CIC. I would like to do this training so I could have the confidence and resources to be more equipped in these situations. I have lived experiences of being in domestic abuse relationships and have been sexually abused when I was younger but I am now a strong successful woman and a survivor and more importantly safe for a long time I wasn't and I know just how these service users feel. My passion and motivation stem from a desire to provide the support I wish I had back then. Now that I am strong and in a position to help others, I want to do so to the best of my ability. The training course I am interested in is the Foundation course. Independent domestic violence advisor (Idva) training will enable me to have the correct training to support survivors for free in the community of home visits for those who are too afraid to leave their homes So please dig deep and please donate even if it's just a few pounds as it all matters. I will be running this until February and hopefully start my course in March.
