Hey there, I wanted to let you know about an album I made from two remote recording trips I did with buddies, Mike Gamwell (Knightlife) and Mirko Vogel, to coastal Sweden and the highlands in Scotland. For fun, we decided to work on music during our trips, inspired by our surroundings. It was never meant to turn into anything in particular, but at the end of it all, we realised we’d made an album. The project is called Hypernatural, and this is our debut, self-titled album. The album is dedicated to the glorious ancient waters of the Scottish Highlands that helped power our laptops to finish these recordings. I hope you enjoy. x —Dan.

Our new album ‘Freeze, Melt’ is finally out today!

It’s been my longtime superstitious tradition to go out to a record store and buy a copy of each new Cut Copy album on release day. Sadly this time I can’t do it because everyone is in lockdown here in Melbourne. But thankfully I managed to do the next best thing and get a copy via the good old fashioned internet. So here it is...

It’s been such a difficult year for so many of you and we really hope you’re doing ok! We would love to have spent this year performing these songs around the world, and seeing you all in person. Festivals, clubs, crowds, travel, sleepless nights, euphoria, highs and lows - As musicians it’s such a big part of our “reason to be.” Sadly that can’t happen, but we hope sharing these songs that we poured our hearts into, gives a little meaning to people out there searching for it right now.
