Welcome to the Stony Brook Southampton MFA Program in Writing and Literature YouTube channel! Here you can see highlights from past Southampton Summer Writers Conferences and Writers Speak events in Southampton and Manhattan.
We also feature readings from our Playwriting, Children's Lit, Screenwriting and Florence Conferences, from YAWP: The Young American Writers Project, our annual Fiction Prize, and from our award-winning literary journal TSR: The Southampton Review.
The Southampton summer Writers Conference, begun in 1975, is one of the oldest in the country. Our MFA Program in Writing and Literature was established in 1998, and many of our graduates have gone on to amazing successes. In Fall 2009, our program expanded as we launched our new Manhattan Track.
