Last week, the Milwaukee Anti-War Committee (@mkeantiwarcommittee), the Milwaukee Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (@milwaukeealliance), and the Coalition to March on the RNC (@marchonthernc2024) teamed up at Catrina Cantina (@catrinamke) in Milwaukee to host a Drag show, aimed at raising money to fund their protest of Republican National Convention, beginning on July 15th in Milwaukee.

After reaching their goal of $1000 within the show's first hour, the performers continued to dazzle the audience with remarkable choreography and fashion looks. Support by visiting the Coalition to March on the RNC's website or coming out to protest from July 15th-18th!

They are currently partnered with the WellPoint Care Network in Milwaukee to provide therapy and resources for families in need. Photos from the Coalition to March on the RNC meeting that took place last month at the African American's Women's Center in Milwaukee. From July 15th-18th, the Republican party will be at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee for their National Convention. The choice to host this event in Wisconsin is no coincidence--as with the arrival of Wisconsin Defense Industry Council (WDIC), the state is quickly forming into the financial, logistical, and economic center for the military-industrial complex responsible for genocide in Palestine, and, historically, across the entire planet. As the majority of Wisconsinites struggle for employment that can barely support the cost of living along with an underfunded social-safety net, Republicans who determine budgeting purposefully divest in public accessibility or private small businesses to then sell "military jobs" to our manufacturing and commerce committees, behind a veil of 'economic stimulus', rather than offsetting the 5 Billion spent yearly by the State of Wisconsin on "military jobs" to a direct subsidy of necessary infrastructure projects, like schools and cell towers. It is the sustained inaction of the Wisconsin public as a consequence of mass information and reality-distortion by the Republican party resulting in their brazen confidence in declaring Milwaukee as their safe-haven, or rather, the location of their next convention. Despite both parties being organizations of Genocide, the Republicans use transphobic, theocratic, and racist rhetoric as their platform---inhibiting the critical thinking necessary for successful organization and unity. It is for this reason a coalition of orgs fighting for gender, racial, and human equality have gathered to protest their next convention.
