Contemporary pop/rock compser Will Van Dyke celebrated the release of his debut album, "Chasing the Day" along with some of today's brightest Broadway talents at (Le) Poisson Rouge on January 17, 2011. Will on piano was joined by musicians Damien Bassman, David Fallo, Jim Hershman, Dave Kuhn, Phil Payton and Allison Seidner. Featuring lyrics by Van Dyke and his collaborator Josh Halloway, "Chasing The Day" comprises "songs that were written on the road. Aboard planes. Across time zones. Between sets. In hotel lobbies. At 24 hour coffee shops. Miles apart. When the thought of home is your only companion. 'Chasing the Day' is about the places life takes us and the people who bring us back," according to the album liner notes.
