Fire is beautiful, fascinating, and mesmerizing. It touches and warms our hearts. And it nourishes us in a way that no other thing can. It has the ability to bring both joy and despair. It can also destroy and create things. The first time I allowed myself to take an unprecedented risk when the glowing embers of fire beckoned me, I got burned. I cried my eyes out. My heart ached with pain. But, I found the strength and moved on. This EP is a passionate, vibrant record. It’s raw and honest, yet totally relatable. It's emotional and exhilarating, but also gives you a feeling of peace and joy. I feel like, during the whole process of creating this, I went through so many different chapters in my life. It made me realize a lot of things. I learned so much about myself. It was important for me to be able to put it down on paper and tell myself what I needed to hear. This record was a lifetime dream of mine. I aspire to be the best version of myself, for whatever good that may be. Sometimes I feel weak, but by keeping the fire lit, my spirit is still strong enough to realize my dreams. This album has become my escape from feeling weak. It's a reminder that no matter what comes against me, I have so much strength from within. I am so thankful to have been able to collaborate with these awesome musicians @kehelekeff @corrgtd. Being able to hear their stories, hear how they discovered and understood their gift, and then have the freedom to create something that reflects their heart was such a blessing. big thanks to @jbelgaonthebeat and to my entire @believemusicph family.
