ANNOUNCING THE #SIMPLELITTLESONG FILM CHALLENGE - WINNER RECEIVES $1000 1. The song you will be creating a video for is “A Simple Little Song” by Billy Vera off his new album TIMELESS which can be found at this link: youtube.com/watch?v=b1Vd_XjQ2r0 (Take a listen and be as creative as possible in telling a tale for this tune. It does not have to follow typical music video rules. Essentially you will be creating a 4:14 minute long short film to this track.) 2. To submit please Email: SimpleLittleSongFilmChallenge@Gmail.com to be sent this song that you will use to make your video and also to submit your final video to be posted, once you are finished. RULES AND REGULATIONS The #SIMPLELITTLESONG Film Challenge is open to filmmakers of all ages. One entry per person. All submissions will be viewable to the community and live on Billy Vera’s YouTube Channel. Once your video has been posted, you will be sent an email confirmation with your specific link of your work which you should post on all your social media because in addition to the $1000 winner challenge there will also be an honorable mention for People’s Choice, so get those “like” buttons blazing. All submissions will be given equal consideration. Only those submissions that meet the criteria outlined in the challenge description can be selected as the winner. All work submitted must be entirely your own; you MUST use the song “Simple Little Song” in its entirety for the video or your submission will be disqualified. You cannot include film clips or material created by others without their written permission. If your film features people, you must obtain their consent. Please be aware of COVID19 rules set in place in your community and film smart! All work must be submitted online in digital video format. We are not responsible for any misdirected, improperly submitted, technically or artistically un-viewable, lost, incomplete, late, or damaged entries. The challenge closes on August 31, 2020, at midnight PST. All work must be completed and submitted by August 31, 2020 with the winning film being announced on Labor Day, September 7, 2020.
