AURAL FLOAT was formed in 1993 as an electronic ambient project. Aural Float members were: Pascal Feos, Gabriel Le Mar and Alex Azary. The colab is floating with deep sounds. Their music style can be best described as modern electronic listening music ranging from ambient to space and experimental soundscapes. They released three electronic ambient albums, Instropectives, Freefloat and Beautiful Someday. Aural Float compiled the soundtracks for the german cult TV-series Space Night, that has been broadcasted every night at tv-station BR and did the musical direction of SPACE NIGHT (start with EARTHVIEWS 4). As a prototype of a holistic tv concept with spectacular images and visionary sound spheres, SPACENIGHT received international attention. Under the direction of Aural Float the Space Night TV-series evolved into an audiovisual format with space field recordings and ambient electronic music that was captured by a young generation. The electronic Space Night of cosmic and spherical sounds was born, one of the most revolutionary TV- formats in the 90’s. Aural Float played to the moon. The concept to combine original NASA/ESA films, videos and footage of space missions along with music made on earth became a byword for chillout. With it`s futuristic visuals Space Night pretty soon reached "cult status" among the young night watchers. A futuristic show that accompanied the afterwork and afterparty life of young people and electronic music fans. Coming home from the club at night and chilling to the sounds of the cult show, Aural Float created a bridge to chill out and come down. www.le-mar.de/projects/aural-float/
