Bob-A-Palooza was conceived and organised by Jim Lanza and Hadley O'Connor, both of whom have been fixtures on the local music scene for as long as I can remember. This fundraiser brought together these four bands to raise money for Bob Sablack, a founding member both of The Plague and The Defnics, who is battling cancer.
There was a raffle of 27 varying prizes from records to a 50-inch smart TV (with candy snacks) and a full drum kit was auctioned off. A lot of people turned out that haven't been out in years to show their support and people had long strips of raffle tickets. All in all, it was a great night and a lot of money was raised, but more is still needed.
