Qualcomm also unveiled the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform, which will offer extreme performance for 5G-connected PCs, without sacrificing size, weight, or battery life. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform supports multi-gigabit 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity speeds and enterprise-grade security to give users the ultimate mobile computing experience. Snapdragon continues to innovate with the introduction of its first-ever platform dedicated exclusively to handheld gaming, the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 Gaming Platform. Complete with all the state-of-the-art Snapdragon Elite Gaming features, the platform can showcase true 10-bit HDR gaming with up to a billion colors in up to 4k resolution at 144 frames per second. Qualcomm also further explained the role Snapdragon plays in the Metaverse. Snapdragon powers countless AR and XR devices that allow users to experience digital worlds and interfaces in ways never seen before. The Metaverse is the spatial internet come to life through the combination of technologies like Qualcomm AI, Snapdragon Sound, advanced camera technology, and 5G.
