I will always always always encourage people to try their hand at sewing, it's such a valuable skill! This reel showcases exactly how beneficial it can be, as I transformed this skirt (that I felt fell at an awkward length on me) into one I will actually wear again. And looking back at my time stamps...it only took me 1.5 hours to make it happen!
If you haven't had a chance to learn to sew yet, ask a family member or a friend to help! (Yes, that includes me!) Also, the internet can obviously be a fantastic tool for learning!
PS if you're actually wondering why in the world I cut this skirt from the waistband down instead of the hem up - it also needed adjusting in the waist and a new elastic. You know, work smarter not harder!
