THIS IS FINALLY THE TIME TO BLESS US WITH THE, "DougDougDougDougDoug" CHANNEL THAT I'VE BEEN SO DESPERATELY WAITING FOR!!!

I feel like either way is good. Separate vod channels are nice so you can find what you're looking for more easily but also aren't strictly necessary anymore since the "live" tab is now a thing, so it's pretty much down to preference.

I like to watch the chat replay sometimes, so I'd like to have them either public or unlisted on the channel.

I'd recommend unlisting instead of privating, even if you move the vods to another channel as for those who might have already put them in a playlist/shared the stream don't end up losing the video.

I'm not sure if there's a way to transfer the VODs to another channel and keep the YouTube chat replay, but either way, it's fine, keeping those VODs on this channel.

Instead, I’d suggest making the VODs unlisted and putting them in an easy to find public playlist. Doesn’t clutter the feed, but also makes them accessible to those that want them after a stream is over.

Thank you so much for asking the community! Personally I would prefer for them to be separate because they do come up on my main page. My main go-to for your VODS is the VODS channel or directly on Twitch. But let the community decide. :)

Doug4 has always been my go-to to catch vods. I watch that more than the main channel; because I prefer long-form content and I can rarely catch the time to watch streams live. I understand it might be more effort for you; eight hour videos are no joke, but thats just my two cents. Keep it shinin' Doug (your bald head, I mean). Edit: Also I'll propose an alternative: Start your streams from the DougDougDougDoug channel, so you can keep them public and not worry about the reupload process? It'll encourage people to sub there too so they can get notifications.

I would say keep them on the main channel, the content is still there on the other VOD channel and it’s fun seeing chat replay as though you are live.

That was the first stream I watched. So glad I was made aware of it through YouTube. I don't use twitch so having the notification right in front of my nose is really helpful. Proud of YouTube squad 4 the win.

Personally I'd leave them UNLISTED on the main channel so anyone with the stream in their notifs/watch history can check it out immediately afterwards but also put it on the VOD channel. Best of both worlds/doesn't crowd sub feeds

Keep it as it is, it’s very useful for me who can’t watch the whole livestream due to timezones

I think it might be cool to have all the unedited videos together on the vod channel but let's face it, I'm gonna binge your content over and over either way.

Here's what you should do. Keep them on the main channel but unlist them and put them in a playlist. That way we can go back and see the original streams, with chat, and it won't kill your click-rate or viewer retention.

Ludwig keeps all his public and personally I like it. Makes it so I don't miss a stream.

I watch most of your content purely in VOD form and would find it really inconvenient having to switch between the two channels. I love just loading the vod channel and seeing all the recent streams in chronological order so I can easily catch up with all the Dog Lore. I get it’s a little more work but don’t really see any advantage to keeping them just on DougDoug as DougDougDougDoug is where all the VODs are and as a VOD watcher is incredibly useful

There is a slot, separated from the normal videos, where the steams go (in the channel), I don't think that they clog anything there.

You can also unlist the streams and put them all in a playlist. That way they dont clog the subfeed, but stay accessable right away.

Keeping them public is cool because then I can rewatch the vod or continue the stream without having to wait days for it to hit the vod channel.

Hello Duglets! I've been streaming here on Youtube the past few days and people seem to like it so I'll keep doing streams here for now, BUT I do need to figure out where to put the stream recordings once the stream ends. I can keep them public on my channel like I did for the last 2 streams, or I can hide them after the stream and publish them to the separate VOD channel instead. Some people seem to prefer having the stream recordings on a separate channel so it doesn't clog their sub feed, but others seem to like having the streams immediately available on my main channel. Do you have a preference?
