Luka Hocevar

Today I received the official plaque from YouTube for surpassing 100,000 subscribers, which I learned only 0.3% on YT achieve.

Here’s why that’s cool and some lessons from it…

I officially started coaching around 20 years ago (was still playing pro ball 🏀 at the time) and after my career I knew this is what I wanted to do, coach and have a gym that helps people change their bodies (and minds) and helps them re-write their stories.

I was (and still am) obsessed about learning and improving and decided to start sharing stuff on YouTube as well as other channels. I realized that while I was learning, sharing it made me understand it better (whether it was written word, video, presenting,…) and communicate it clearer.

So content became a way of becoming a better coach (and still is if you ask me).

I never set out to be a “YouTuber”, I just wanted to share what I was learning, my experience and eventually my wisdom after coaching a LOT of people.

As the saying goes..

“The purpose of life is to discover your gift, the meaning of life is to give it away.”

I believe you should be the teacher and the student, both, forever.

Create to be better at your craft, create to help and serve your audience, create valuable, useful, entertaining and inspirational content, and do it as part of a journey rather than an outcome.

I believe you should be the teacher and the student, both, forever.

I’ll keep creating and sharing and be grateful for markers like this along the way. Thank you to everyone that subscribes, follows, and shares the content so it helps more people.

Much love 🙏🏽

P.S. I’m still a real coach and gym owner that puts things on the internet (and not an internet coach 😉)
