Hi karl. I was recently just hit with a copyright claim from "interstreet recordings we are era music bv" on my video "Dont Starve Player Tries Project Zomboid For The First Time" for using your song "Hackers" You were credited in the description of my video under the list of songs I used for that video. Heres the excerpt of where in my description I put your song names under: Songs i used. if i missed one, lemme know with a timestamp and ill fix it: White Bat Audio - Hackers (by Karl Casey) White Bat Audio - Scavenger Dystopian Dark Synthwave mix I assumed this would be fine, as its crediting both you and your channel but if its a fault on my part in regards to the description, what else would I need to add in order to make it safe? I don't mind also adding a link to the song itself along with a link to your channel if thats whats needed for the claim to drop(and of course to be amended to all future videos with your music in it).

I use one of your YouTube mixes as my intro/break/outro music for my stream. Credit and your link always given multiple times during the stream. Never had a copyright strike with the exception of a single warning. Apparently, there was an issue with one track that someone else was claiming in your mix and the video got muted for the couple minutes. Other than that, smooth sailing. Thank you for everything that you do!

Good on you. Your music is phenomenal and deserves the proper recognition. People are so quick to steal content, scam, or profit off of another’s work. Hello Everyone!
As of May 31, 2024, I will be implementing an automated 'Content ID' detection software for my library of music to protect its safe usage and to stop others from fraudulently claiming copyright on YouTube videos that use my music.
This means that things will REMAIN THE SAME for those who use my music here on YouTube:
- A simple credit of “Music by Karl Casey”, “Music by White Bat Audio” or tagging my YouTube channel @whitebataudio in the video description is enough.
- The credit MUST be in the video description as the content ID software detects text in the description only.
- This content ID system is for YouTube ONLY.
- It will ONLY make a copyright claim, NOT a copyright strike. Your channel will not be in any danger of strikes.
- if you haven’t credited me and need to do so, here is how to edit multiple video descriptions at once:

If credit is not given properly, then you will likely receive a copyright claim.
If you receive a copyright claim when using my music and you're sure that you've credited me correctly in the description, you can simply fill out this form and the claim will be removed/dealt with very quickly: forms.gle/X5QvKPN1YEx7eiKV7
Once you've filled out the above form, you can dispute the claim on YouTube and it will be dropped.
Or, if we had previously set up an agreement where credit couldn’t be placed in the video description for a specific reason, then simply reach out to me via email (karl@whitebataudio.com) and I can personally whitelist your video/channel so you will not be affected.
I want my music to be an accessible and trustworthy source of free-to-use music, so I am excited to be able to protect my work while offering you all a solid, reliable music library that won’t be hit with fraudulent copyright claims from others.
