Sculptor Fred X. Brownstein brought us the first chunk of marble he carved off of the block in our latest episode of Time Lapse Art. He flew the marble back from Italy over twenty years ago, when he moved home to the U.S. after studying under the Italian masters.
In these photos, you can see the amazing quality of the marble through both its translucence and sparkle.
