Few Designations/ posts in Judiciary, which many of us may not be knowing properly::
🌴Lawyer:::; Any person who has a Graduate Xegree in Law. But he cannot represent client in the Court
🌴Barrister: When a person obtains Law Degree from UK. But he cannot represent client in court like a Lawyer.
🌴Advocate.. When any Law Graduate appear and pass the examination conducted by Bar Council of India only then he becomes an Advocate. He is enrolled and gets a Licence to Practice in Court.
🌴Senior Advocate:-
High and Superme Court designates Senior Advocate to those who are
above 45 years of age
*Have a minimum practice not less than 20 years
*Have contested lot of cases and won too.
*He wears a gown that have flaps pm the shoulders
🌴Advocate on Record:-
*In Supreme Court, no advocate except AOR can file a vakalatnama, Affidavit petition etc.
*AOR appears and pass the AOR exams which are conducted by Supreme Court.
*For AOR one should have practiced for minimum 4 years plus one year working experience with any AOR as he is well versed with the working of Supreme Court
🌴Advocate General:
In all States of India, Governor appoints Advocate General. AG is first Law Officer of State and represent it in Court on behalf of State Government.
🌴Attorney General:-
He is appointed by President of India and is also called First Legal Officer of the Country.
*He represents Central
Government in the courts and give piece of advice to Central Government Or President.
🌴Solicitor General:-
He is also called 2nd Law Officer of Country and assists Attorney General in day to day work
