The solar installation at the cabin was the tipping point for most subscribers imo. It was so obviously created entirely around the product and the product you were pushing was something most people didn't see was even worth installing given most of your content is filmed there in heavy snow when the panels would either be covered and not work, or, would be damaged by the weight and be useless. So the annoyance at that video was twofold, people saw it as a useless product infomercial and created totally for the dollar payment. With that said, I'm sure that for the first summer season the solar will be great (but your subscribers won't see that benefit because most of your summer use will be family and friends and not obviously not videoed for content, after all it isn't mad machines ploughing through insane snow). It will be interesting to see how well it survives the first winter though. Maybe consider bookmarking chapters into your video so that subscribers have the opportunity to skip the advertising section or limit the sponsorship ad to the first 3 or 4 minutes? Either way, your channel is part of your business and a business has to make money to survive. In your case, keeping helicopters and machinery in operating order to have them available to create your content ain't cheap, so sponsors are a necessary evil.

Just tell us what you are promoting in the beginning of the video and then make your channel great again.

It's not 'stop doing ads'. it's 'stop making the whole video an ad, we want content not a 20-minute paid advertisement '

I really don't care 🤣 Liked the anker advertorial episode , even if I've seen it getting used already at at least 3 other channels. Also think it was quite clear in the first few minutes that it was a sponsored episode. And i love the "fake" short amazing discovery ad's

One of the major issues I have with the channel is the ads are the videos now. Of a 10-15 min video half or more is ads and it's been that way a little over a year.

I pay for premium. I don't want to see ads. Period. If I see them, I simply don't watch the video. I see enough of them, I unfollow the creator. It's that simple.

I don’t even mind ads or even product placement…but…the most recent video was so ridiculously staged it was lame….I personally would’ve watched it without issue if you just outright said you were heading to pickup an old build…0 reason to stage it.

We understand that ads provide a great revenue stream, and we also understand that by watching we help get you better ad opportunities. We don’t want 20min branded videos where we hear a brand name every 90 seconds. While brands love this idea, viewers absolutely hate it. Please go back to running an ad for 2 to 4min and put the ad clock in the corner. This gives viewers a short break from the content, and then jump right back into the content. While viewers may skip past this part, it is much more enjoyable and positively received than an entire branded video, and I’d guess that videos with 2 to 4 minute ads get more views than a branded video does. Also, you have a select few brands and products that you do ads for, meaning that your viewers are most likely to know about your relationship with that brand and having a branded video would just be annoying and a wast of time, hence, where we are now.

At some point it starts to make us feel used having so many ads or ads disguised as videos put in front of us. Marketing overload sometimes...

I tend to dip out on creators that become overly scripted, add that to a channel who ram constant in video ad reads down our throats.. yeah, probably explains why I've not watched anything of yours in months...

The Real Salt video was an ad but it didn’t feel like an ad, just felt like you going and doing something cool. I’ve been a Real Salt customer since that video, so it worked. Wasn’t annoyed with it at all, but lately the videos have felt like ads. My 2 cents- Simplify videos from giant over the top projects to more mundane but fun things you enjoy doing, sprinkle in big stuff as it comes along, don’t force them. As for ads, do an ad play or ad read straight up. In general don’t try to weave an ad into the entire video storyline, 9 times out of 10 it’ll feel unnatural and viewers will see right through it, it has to be something way up your alley to blend in to a full video… like the Real Salt video.
