Get well soon Shobha jee. I can relate to your pain as I fractured my left knee in a two wheeler accident around 24 years ago and was bed ridden for seven months.

Nature has given so much positive energy... The pains can be laughed away. 😊Afterall these days we don't get hurt much while going about our life. Why not sometimes our bodies be challenged with pain so it keeps itself updated to fight and cure pains....

Good to see you laughing. I too keep hurting my ankle or foot while playing football. Icing and rebounding into the game every now and then. Can't leave playing football..it's like meditation for me. Keep laughing! Cheers.

Last 3 weeks have been challenging. It was almost like life had put a big red stop sign in front of me and I had no choice but to honour it. I’m so glad that I was able to maintain a happy state of mind since day 0 of my fracture.
It happened while I was doing hurdle jump in my gym. I overestimated myself and tried the jump. Landed poorly and broke my ankle! I remember laughing so hard when I fell down and throughout the icing process while my ankle had swollen to three times its volume. I remember laughing hard when a couple of trainers lifted me(like lord Ganesha for his homecoming) to take me to my car. I remember narrating the incident to Hari while we were driving down to the clinic to get it checked. I was laughing then. Upon reaching, the wheelchair(my first time in one) became a source of absolute joy.
I know it sounds silly but I was happy and grateful for everything. I was grateful because it could have been worse. I remember talking to the doctor with a wide smile on my face when he suggested that we might have to do a mini surgery and insert a pin/small plate inside to support the bone to heal. I remember coming home and laughing ridiculously while telling the story to my house help.
I have cherished every moment of the last 3 weeks, despite the enormous pain and complete bed rest, which in my opinion, was tougher than the pain itself.
And here I am, at my work desk, enjoying myself thoroughly. Enjoying the challenges of navigating my way around in a wheel chair and keeping my leg elevated for most of the times. This experience helped me connect deeply with myself, through pain and boredom. It’s funny how I keep observing a manifestation of #TheJourneyWithin through most of the experiences that I have.
How do you deal with a painful physical condition? Let’s share in the comments?
