I am one of them 😁 and it makes totally sense...its roughly 1 EUR per day...not having one would be almost stupid, unless you are not using public transport at all..

It's definitely impressive. A lot of non-residents buy this pass as well though. If you commute to Vienna 5 days a week, the "Jahreskarte" is the cheapest option for all journeys within the city. The new VOR "climate ticket" is also a great option for commuters and includes all public transportation in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.
