God has been shifting my perspective about reading the Bible. Instead of saying, "What can I get out of this passage?", I now say, “What is God teaching me about Himself in this passage?” and “What can I learn to grow closer to Him?”
Reading the Bible is not about me, it is about knowing WHO God is and what He is TELLING His followers about who He is. This is crucial.
