I didn't have children either. Having lost my husband almost 5 years ago now, I'm glad we didn't. But I've had & have many fur babies! They're my joy! Blessings to you & yours & to all! I love each of you!! 🙏🏻❤

Your lives shouldn’t be sad if they are the loves of your life❤️. We have four dogs and four cats and they are a great reason to smile every day. Even despite what we’re being put through. Love and hugs from my family to yours

Plenty of people don't have children whether that's through choice or otherwise. Pets enrich people's lives throigh companionship, devotion and love. It doesn't mean your life is sad because you don't have children, it means you have a heart big enough to care and love an animal that loves you for doing what you do and being who you are.

Scripture states that we are not to look back and I'm thinking that regret might qualify here. I also have no children or spouse at 57 yrs old. I think the GOOD LORD may even have these outcomes of life ( like children ) engineered for HIS purposes. Having spouses and or children could certainly diminish productive work for him. Just look at the lives of the Disciples who were on a mission and their family was never with them, if they even had any family. I enjoy viewing this image of your little family as the love shines through and even a little humor as well with " Little Edwin " looking alert and ready for duty. I have a family of deer who I feed and talk to and they bring their new fawns by in the spring to meet their two legged " uncle " and then they repeat the process the following year. Many of us wonder if we will see our beloved pets in the afterlife and I can't imagine that we wouldn't, but GOD's will and plan is all that matters. GOD BLESS.

My dog is definitely my best friend. Only loves, never bites the hand that feeds her

Miss my fur babies but I have neighbours whose fur babies will run into my house for a cuddle and a treat. Animals are extremely special.

You have kids ok. Furry ones ❤️😊 They are a lot less trouble in their teens and cost a great deal less. They also still love you when you are old and worn out. As much as it's heartbreaking when they go to wait for us in Heaven, each time we give a furry a truly good home we are giving them something that they might otherwise never have, and possibly saving them from a bad home. Knowing that makes them passing before us more bearable, and knowing we can do the same for another otherwise defenceless animal. It isn't in everyone to do that. It's in you and that's pretty special

O, I wouldn't say that. ( regarding a "sad life") My niece and her hubby never had "house-apes" either. But, they still have a family that consists of no less than 4 dogs at any one time.

Believe me, they are a lot better than most kids. A lot less expensive, less moody in their teens, less argumentative etc. Plus they really do love us unconditionally. That isn't to say I don't live my sons but no doubt about it now I am old enough to know the difference, a good dog or two is far preferable 👍😊 Most parents won't admit that. A lot know it but would never admit it out loud. Lo
