I've heard people say that helter skelter was one of the earliest proto metal songs so it would be interesting to hear in the style of modern metal

Not metal, but since it turns 21 today, any riff from Three Days Grace's first album. More specifically the riff from Home or Foo Fighters I'll Stick Around, that would be cool in modern metal style imo.

I don’t know if it’s considered metal but was really heavy at the time, but the main riff from In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.

Something from Bullet For My Valentine maybe? Spit You Out is an absolute BANGER so to hear that in a modern sense would be interesting

I've always wanted to see what some of the popular Killswitch Engage riffs would sound like in a modern sense, but it's hard for me to imagine. Maybe you could try it?

It'd be cool to hear some old Blue Cheer, the OutsideInside album especically. Or Judas Priest Dying to Meet You with a more modern doom metal sound
