I've heard people say that helter skelter was one of the earliest proto metal songs so it would be interesting to hear in the style of modern metal

Not metal, but since it turns 21 today, any riff from Three Days Grace's first album. More specifically the riff from Home or Foo Fighters I'll Stick Around, that would be cool in modern metal style imo.
