RIP Yoshiko Miura (1949-Nov 6 2023), who began writing for idol singers in the late '70s and was an extremely prolific and in-demand lyricist in the Japanese music industry by the '80s. Some of you might not be familiar with her name, but if you're a fan of City Pop you've definitely heard from her - 2 of the most iconic songs in the genre (Miki Matsubara's "Stay With Me" and Junko Ohashi's "Telephone Number") have lyrics written by Miura.
