Can confirm! My son and I both have had locs for three years. His hair is dark brown, and his ends are sandy from the sun. I dyed my locs a medium brown color almost all over. After about a year, my ends were noticeably lighter than the rest of the loc. No additional dye. It was just due to me spending a lot of time in the sun. Sun exposure is good for your hair and skin!
