What’s the longest you’ve ever owned a single item of clothing?

@Whoop-di-scoop

Next question should be- what’s the longest you’ve owned a clothing item without actually wearing it out

@NFry

I have a random no brand skirt I’ve owned for 15 years. I cycle in and out of wearing it in heavy rotation, and it’s held up surprisingly well.

Over 30 yrs! I have a denim jacket from middle school (early 90s) that my mom kept boxed up for decades that still fits me well (I’m a woman). love the vintage fit and the fact that it is nostalgic and sentimental to me .

My high school varsity jacket from 20 years ago. I didn't wear it for the first 10 years. I wear it now though. Still looks brand new.

@Proseless

I have some items that I raided from my grandpa’s closet. These items were manufactured in Moldova, 1960s, when it was still part of the USSR. They’re in such pristine condition that I can’t wear them unless I have my entire day planned out.

@brokenmolar

I have a knee length sheer white cotton Edwardian tea dress (1910s) I acquired in 2015 and it’s still going strong! That’s also the oldest piece of clothing I own and actually wear. It’s a little thrashed but that’s a part of the charm if you ask me

I've got some old Uniqlo thick plaid shirts I bought back in 2007, Uniqlo don't make that same quality anymore :( The elbows need patches but the shirts are still in great condition.

30 years. A comfortable black cotton T shirt that is on its last legs. Hadn't worn it for a few years in between.

I have some tops that I bought in middle school that I still wear… I’m turning 27 in Jan. I’ve been lucky enough to stay the same clothing size despite my proportions changing.

@goostav8235

Only 2 years, but I only started caring about fashion 2 years ago so it doesn't count. I still have the very first T-Shirt I found at a thrift store and I'm somehow actually wearing it right now, it's a really worn out wu tang shirt and I'm never throwing it away even though it already has a few holes

It’s cool to be in my mid-twenties and have pieces that are 10+ years old.

@victorkernes

I’ve owned a scarf by Begg & Co. made in collaboration with Unionmade for almost 12 years. It’s one of my only remaining pieces after working there back in 2013.
