Please! Everyone ignores me. My questions seem simple to me. Maybe I am wrong. I have asked over and over again with no response from multiple outlets. I work for a living. I have had a Ford towing my work trailer for many years . It quit at 353,000 mi. ( Oil pump/ no oil pressure) I loved that truck. I was in the market for another when I stumbled across a 2016 Silverado LTZ one owner and 20,000 MI. How can I resist. Unfortunately for me Chevrolet sucks. This POS, as nice as it is inside and out, cannot tow worth a s***. Look. I understand that I am switching from a one ton to a quarter ton. The ICE'S we're pretty much the same. This POS Chevrolet cannot tow s***. My point? My question? If I were to drop 10,000 plus dollars on a crate LS3, what kind of troubles will my mechanic be looking at with the swap( I have a incredible group at the shop that I use). Going from 5.3 to 6.2 with GM hot cam. The crate motor I am shopping comes with everything including intake. I'm curious about torque converter, flywheel, transmission. ECU, etc. Any thoughts would be most appreciated before I pull the trigger. Also, I have the 8k for the 3 liter Whipple. Any thoughts on why I should not use with my work truck/ towing? I have to be honest, I get somewhat tired of people pulling into that right lane that they know will end because they see my trailer and want to get in front of me. Dicks.
