The broth is a drink but when you add stuff into it (like chicken or rice) then it’s food. Kind of like how cereal is only food once you actually put the cereal in, if it’s just a bowl of milk then it’s a drink.

The wild thing is that in Chinese, you only say "drink" soup, even though eating the ingredients alongside soup is very common in China

It's technically both because if you're just drinking the broth or the actual soup it's technically a drink but if there's food in it like rice chicken shrimp tofu seaweed anything like that it would be considered a food

It depends if it has chicken in it then it is booth but if it has nothing in it it is drink

It's none, actually a "soup" is a liquid but if in the options it will be both because if u chew it could count as food and if u drink it it also counts as drink which means it's all (both) but if liquid was an option it would be liquid.
