Wow glad I went with the quest pro last week- an amazing view, was worried there the screen of the quest 3 would be better, but I made the right choice 😅 Edit- for reference above you can see the quest pro is able to display the warm light much better, on the wall of the desk the lights cast fall-of is effectively broken down in different tones of the yellow look, while for the quest 3 it’s just the reddish light and the lights fall off is lacking those additional steps. The shadows of the quest pro are also deeper, this is something that would come down to taste. The aliasing on the quest 3 is however better but it seems to have a much more present screen door effect in the shadows. The quest pro has more of the effect in the lighter areas. This may vary from applications you use, may not

I was wondering why there’s no trough the lenses comparison from you. I don’t buy it before i see this. Good to hear you’re better now. I went trough the same last week with my stomach and live in Europe. And now our whole family got the cold

Strange. I found that Quest Pro is comparably sharp as Quest 3. Fine details are solid in Q3, however colour accuracy is much better in Quest Pro. Q3’s colour reproduction is too Vivid (i.e. over-saturated). if AA, sharpen filter are applied to Q Pro, the overall display effect is better than Quest 3.

I don't think I'm coping when I say the Quest 3 is surprising better TTL than Quest Pro. It's a marginally better resolution, same (or similar) pancake lenses, but far less aliasing, sharper, warmer, more vibrant. Wow.

Like your pictures, I can clearly see the diagonal lines whenever I use my Q3. It that normal? I also used the QPro, and it had no visible diagonal lines (just like your pictures posted in this article).

Hey Everyone! Sorry for the delay with the Through The Lenses Video featuring the META QUEST 3, but everything... well... got very tricky.
After shooting at the beginning of the week, as I wasn't super happy with the results, I decided to scrap everything thinking I could finish the video for today, but yeah... about that... I got extra sick with a stomach bug all week, raw fish, it wasn't pretty let's say XD
Now I'm finally back 100% but tomorrow we have our little Zacky's Baptism, so there is no way in hell I'll work again this weekend :)
Early next week we'll start with the juicy comparisons, for now, here is a little taste of the Q2 - QPro - Q3 one, and of course, enjoy the Weekend :)
