Hey! Here a kofta(I think it may be spelled the same) is also used to describe a meatball esque dish made of potatoes which is probably the cheapest thing used to mimic meat. They are mashed, broiled and fired to a crisp and a gravy is poured over it. It has a nice texture but I mainly enjoy it due to its mellow almost cheezy flavour. It's enjoyable but a pain to make. A dum aloo tiki is probably a similar recipe you can find for it.

You must try this dish with some garlic yogurt instead of putting the garlic in the dish, this is how my mother prepares it and I kid you not it is even more delicious!! You know we turks add yogurt everywhere, and it levels up every food 😜

Each time I see a video of vegans/vegetarians making meat alternative food such as this, I get so happy to realize that I, as a meat eater don't have to pretend. I eat the real thing with it's real taste. Moreover, we don't have to make fake vegetarian foods with meat. I wish you guys the best of luck. Love this drama that you guys put up 🥳😍😂👏

Türkiye‘s meatless meatballs 👀
Köfte usually translates to meatballs, but in this case it describes hand-shaped bulgur balls served in a garlicky tomato and pepper paste sauce.
