Since I announced I was working on an original IP "realistic" mecha film, loads of people have commented that I should check out Battletech. I don't want to get too influenced by another franchise, but I have been playing the 2018 PC game this week and getting pretty addicted to it. Also, Gabriel (tech support man for the Alien film) is into tabletop gaming and broke out the original 80s game which me and Producer Maki had a go at. I got absolutely wrecked, as you can see. Apparently they streamlined it a bit in later editions, but holy shit, we had to roll dice for absolutely everything! We had to roll dice to roll dice! And then roll dice to begin the process of rolling more dice! I also learned that my eyesight is even worse than I thought and that I can't paint those tiny little miniatures.
