Dodongo's cavern is one of those dungeons you have to play on original hardware to understand. The low resolution and the darkness combined with navi's bright but low ranged light really creates this feeling of being lost late at night as a kid, sleepy, and scared.

Deku Tree, just because of the history of Hyrule cutscene that follows. I still find that to be peak Zelda.

The Great Deku Tree sets the tone for the entire game. It introduces you to dungeons and puts you into several puzzles that require critical thinking to solve. Oh I can't climb up the wall, there are skulltula. Oh this web is too strong, I need to jump from higher. Oh the door is locked, but that's a torch hey it opened the door. Oh there's a floor switch and a timer, I need to be quick. What's this? Gold skulltula? I dunno what that does. This wall web is in the way, oh it can be burned. I can carry fire on my Deku stick. That wall eye is open, let me shoot it. How do I cross this water? Oh there's a switch down there and I can dive into it. I can't break this weird wall. How the heck do I get through this floor web? OH I have to roll with a lit Deku stick (never used again lol)

Dodongo's Cavern for adventure and menace, but the Deku Tree was PEAK ambience. I still use the music for relaxation.

Man, they're all so good! Deku Tree was such a great teaching dungeon, Dodongo's was great for showing interconnectivity, and Jabu-Jabu served as a great benchmark dungeon to put all of your skills to the test.

Deku tree was the first dungeon and it was amazing. Dodongos cavern is way bigger but that stupid door where you have to get a bomb up the small ledge OR time it perfectly right is just... the only cool thing about jabu jabu is the boomerang.

Dodongo’s Cavern had the best flow out of the child dungeons, being fairly straightforward but fun. Jabu Jabu was somewhat confusing until you figure out how things worked with the tentacles and Deku Tree was too ‘baby’s first dungeon’ with Navi always interrupting progress to tell you what you could probably already guess.

Gotta give it to Jabu-Jabu's Belly, largely because it's a dungeon that takes place inside a living creature, as grotesque as it is

Deku Tree had a few interesting aspects that didn't show up again, jumping to land on webs, ladders stuck in webs and also the Deku Brothers riddle. Lots to offer at the start is good but a shame when it seems to go nowhere.

In terms of dungeon design, Jabu Jabu. It was the first time in the game the training wheels were completely off. I love the jellyfish that fall from the ceiling, the way you have to backtrack to notice that the green tentacle is missing, and the way the dungeon loops back in on itself to create a new path. It really foreshadows how complex the adult dungeons get

It’s tough to choose between dodongo and deku tree. Deku tree definitely has the most nostalgia, but dodongo was a really excellent puzzle dungeon with a lot of cool vibes and a great final boss. One thing we can all agree on through, Jabu Jabu’s belly can eat my shorts

If there will be a poll with adult OoT dungeons, I will choose Forest temple! Why? Because of the music and puzzles!

I spent years of my childhood never getting past the Deku Tree because I was a little kid who was scared of Gohmas, so I basically grew up on that one. The nostalgia power that single dungeon holds for me is unparalleled.

Deku Tree, because it was my very first Zelda dungeon of all time and that is too epic.

Jabu Jabus belly was actually difficult. Both bosses were hard when I was younger. I appreciated the spike in difficulty

Dodongos Cavern was the first one where i was scared and had to fight my fears as a kid.

I have a lot of fond memories of the Deku Tree, including calling my friend for help because I didn't know how to jump and didn't want to die. But I like the multi-level design in Dodongo's Cavern and how the map comes together, so probably DC.

It's been forever since I've played but I remember Deku Tree being too small for my taste and I didn't like something about Jabu Jabu. So, I'm voting Dodango. Honestly, the takeaway from this poll is that I need to replay OoT.

N64’s Dodongo’s Cavern. Really felt like an adventure and also featured my favorite enemy in the Zelda series as minibosses!
