I am feeling a little nostalgic or, maybe, just running thru some warm memories of people & places that made me feel safe & a couple of memories of two songs popped up today - my dad singing the one song he knew "Don't fence me in" & Jimmy Stewart performing the intro to "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" on the Tonight Show for Johnny Carson. Two songs about living without constraints.

I can't find Jimmy's Tonight Show rendition but I did find other recordings of both songs:
"Ragtime Cowboy Joe" by Adam Levy: https://youtu.be/s6sUkdXNOCo?si=zf6fD...
"Don't fence me in" by Bing Crosby https://youtu.be/hXkE7f0AMiA?si=08n-w...
"Don't fence me in" by David Byrne on the Red, Hot & Blue album (my favorite recording of the song) https://youtu.be/b_8WsrXqd1k?si=viesu...
