My son's in Orlando too. He's telling me he doesn't need to evacuate, he may loose power, "Don't worry Mom." It makes me feel better hearing it from you too. Hoping you guys and my son stay safe and sheltered.

Update just posted from Simsie on Instagram: Family and I are safe from the hurricane. The worst of the storm passed us in the middle of the night, and we are all okay. We were very lucky I hope you and your loved ones made it through okay. I've been up all night worrying about everyone. This is just horrible. Hey i just moved to florida,, literally just days ago since we got evicted in our hometown and came to live with my tio and his family, this will be the first ever hurricane i will experience and im terrified even though we're in a sheltering only zone / county, but we are already experiencing heavy rain so im nervous. But i know we will be ok, everyone in fl stay safe and look out even if youre in a clear zone 🙏

Aww darling! I feel you, and I can relate to your stress! Unfortunately, here in Puerto Rico, we're still recovering from Hurricane Maria (after 7 years, still struggling), but honestly, it's because PR's government sucks. After the storm, you'll see people getting together as a community to help each other, and that's what's gonna make everybody more people person again. Please, stay safe. I am literally in a shelter here because my area was in mandatory evacuation. I was thinking about u and a couple other YouTubers here in Florida and I am happy that you and your family will be safe. I was going to try and get out to Orlando but everything booked out so freakin fast lol but anyways I hope that everyone else experiencing the hurricane will be safe

Best of luck riding out the storm! My aunt drove my grandma up from Tampa a couple of days ago, her house is in one of the evacuation zones and expected to face some of the highest storm surges, so we're really hoping everyone in her neighborhood could get out.

I’m in western NC, we lost power for 13 days, entire towns washed away by Helene. I’m glad Simsie and her family are well, wishing the best for everyone in the path of Milton.

From New Zealand, sounds crazy! We had a big storm/hurricane/cyclone last year that took a lot of homes and lives, especially on our East coast of North Island, and Auckland. Mainly our rural areas as well. Trees were blocking the roads all the way to town. Praying you will be okay. Been thinking about you and the cats whenever I see it on our news. Praying for everyone in the US right now, especially those in the path.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for all of your concern & well wishes about the hurricane. The storm is meant to hit late tonight, and we've prepped as best we can. We are not in an evacuation zone, so my family & I are sheltering in place. That seems to scare some people, but that's normal! They say "run from the water, hide from the wind" and we are not in a place that is likely to experience dangerous flooding or storm surge. The storm will still be pretty rough, but it won't be as bad here in Orlando as in some other parts of Florida. I'm sending so much love to all of you in the path of the storm. It's really scary, and it's especially scary so soon after Helene. Stay safe. I'll keep you updated on how we're doing. I know that so many of you have been worried, and I really appreciate that ❤️
I'm expecting to lose power, and I'm not sure for how long. It sounds silly to be talking about Sims videos at a time like this, but I did want to let you know my plans for the channel. I have 5 videos pre-recorded and uploaded that we can space out just in case. I've decided not to post one today so that I can stretch them further if we lose power for an extended period of time. I wanted to let you know so that you wouldn't be alarmed when I don't upload today!!!
