Hey guys! This post is to inform you that we’ll be starting our vacation today (technically we leave late tonight). Usually, our vacations are about 12 days, but this one is going to be much longer, at 22 days. Since I was a young kid I wanted to visit Europe in order to see all the places that I’ve been studying my whole life, and we’re finally doing it using the money we received from selling our house last year. I started planning this trip early this year, hence why we did not take our usual summer vacation. If I had known this would be such a rough year financially, I wouldn’t have planned it, but it’s too late now as everything’s paid for lol. It’s my dream vacation, so I suppose it’s worth it, and November 20 is my 37th birthday and you only turn 37 once.
We’re going to be visiting three European countries: the United Kingdom, Italy, & Spain. The main cities we’ll be in are London, Rome, Venice, & Barcelona. As you might expect from my channel name, I’m extremely excited about finally seeing Rome! We’ll be leaving Europe in a trans-Atlantic cruise, as tickets are much cheaper this time of year and most people don’t want to do trans-Atlantic voyages. It wasn’t that much more expensive than four plane tickets (gods they’re pricey!), so figured might as well check off going on a cruise from the bucket list as well (we’ve never even been on a ship before), as you get an experience for the money rather than paying for the much quicker, but far more unpleasant, plane ride. We also get to visit several Atlantic islands on this cruise, including the Azores and Bermuda. They look absolutely beautiful in the pictures so we’re looking forward to seeing them in person. Our cruise ends in New York City, so we’ll be staying there a few days as well. I’ve always wanted to go there again (went once when I was young, but we only drove around in traffic and then went home lol), and it’s the city my daughter has been begging to visit every year I plan a vacation. Since we’re already going to be in the city, we figured we’d stay for a couple days and do some sightseeing.
I would have preferred to discuss this in a vlog, but unfortunately I just didn’t have the time. It’s the last day and we’re still not fully packed, despite all this planning. We’ll be returning home on December 3rd, thus I’ll record the first episode of the HOI4 series on 12/4, and that will be released on 12/5. This is the series that is currently being voted on by members here on YouTube and Patrons on Patreon. The four options are Tsarist Russia, Communist Japan, Fascist Italy, & Spain (Spain's ideology is also being voted on). Currently, Russia is in 1st place, Japan 2nd, & Spain is in 3rd. Jynx and I will also be starting a new series the week we return. We’ll see you then, have a great November!
