Today is the 108th anniversary of the SS Californian sinking (November 9, 1915) - she was torpedoed 2 times by German SM U-34 and SM U-35. 1 person died. The wreck is still undiscovered. Don't hate her crew for their behavior during Titanic sinking - the situation was unclear for them, Titanic crew used only white signal rockets which didn't indicate only emergency. Moreover, Titanic and Californian were on the border of the warm Gulf Stream and the icy Labrador Current. Warm and cold air masses above them, mixing led to the effect of refraction (refraction of light), so it was difficult to identify signal rocket. Anyways, write your opinion on that and RIP Californian (1901-1915) ðŸŠĶ🕊ðŸ˜Ē😔.
