Hey hey - are you a Macbook user and what are you currently using? 💻 I’ve been reviewing the M4 MacBook Pro for a few months now - so has it now come far enough to upgrade from my trusty M1 Max? 🚀 Check out my full M4 review here: https://youtu.be/X6be9LtoRo4

Thanks for the votes people - keep them coming - so far it's clear almost 50% of us were drawn in by the new Apple Silicon of M1 and haven't moved since!

I’m rocking the M1 Max in a Mac Studio and still love it. Has been awesome.

M1 max with 64GB ram and 2TB storage is still a good machine for me.

Ha ha! I’ve got a MacBook Pro from long ago. I think it is from 2012. I can’t update the OS anymore, and other issues - the “z” key no longer functions, for example - make it a bit of a bear to wrestle. However, it holds many files that I don’t wish to lose, and I can at least get to those files, upload them to the clouds and access them via my iPad Pro. This is most certainly not an ideal situation, but it does mean that a person can keep pursuing their goals when equipment performance is lacking. Besides, old as it is, that ancient MacBook has never shown me a “blue screen of death” like my PC that died in the middle of a project did.

Late 2019 16” MacBook Pro w/ Intel i7. Definitely upgrading this year!! As much as the transition has gone smoothly and the M1 series has been lasting well, I don’t regret my decision to buy the newest pre-Apple Silicon option that I could at the time. Apple’s first generation of a product category don’t always end up representing good value purchases (e.g. the “Series 0” first gen Apple Watch), so looking back I think I made a sensible decision with the information I had at the time. In the next couple of months I’ll be transitioning over to a 16” MacBook Pro as my sole computer with a couple of Studio Displays and the device sometimes in clamshell, sometimes just used as a laptop. It’ll be nice to consolidate on a single OS, and only using a single of Apple’s computers will have me feeling a little better about paying their extortionate upgrade prices. I’m still weighing up 64 GB vs 128 GB of RAM, but I’m definitely maxing out the SSD. I know the value proposition is awful, but I really do value the convenience.

Imagine spending $1500 on something and it not being usable in 8 years.

I bought my first MacBook last year for school and I think it’s the M3 pro. Not pro processor just MacBook Pro. And I think it has the 500 something ssd. The laptop has been very snappy without any issues or freezing or restarting. I like it a lot more than previous laptops from HP or Dell and Sony.

M3 max here and absolutely loved it. Always been pc, had a 5000€ gaming empowered beast to edit video and a 3000 macbook pro is 10 times better juste out of the box. Mac user since lol.
